Dr Marijke Mellor
B.Vet.Biol/B.Vet.Sci (Hons)
Dr Marijke’s lifelong bond with animals began during her formative years, where her home was a lively menagerie of dogs, cats, mice, rabbits, fish, and guinea pigs. This early and deep-rooted affection for creatures of all kinds propelled her to embark on a journey in veterinary medicine. In 2013, she graduated from Charles Sturt University.
Dr Marijke’s first job as a vet was in a small animal and exotic clinic in Adelaide, and it was then that she realised that unusual pets are the best part of veterinary medicine and has worked at exotic-only veterinary clinics.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, Dr Marijke enjoys relaxing with her human and animal family and singing in classical musical choirs.
Owned Pets
Dr Marijke is a proud pet parent to an elderly cat named Kitten, and a Saint Bernard named Jersey.
