Dr Rebecca Teoh (She/Her)
BVSc (Hons), BSc (Vet)
Since Dr Rebecca was young, she had always been interested in biology, and her love for animals led her down the rabbit hole of veterinary studies. In 2018, Dr Rebecca graduated from the University of Sydney with her Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours Class 1) while at the same time completing her Bachelor of Science (Veterinary) research dissertation on Floppy Rabbit Syndrome and common husbandry practices of NSW rabbit owners.
In 2019, Dr Rebecca dived straight into unusual pet medicine and surgery, flourishing with the Bird & Exotics Veterinarians until she joined The Unusual Pet Vets team in 2024.
Hobbies and Interest
During her downtime, Dr Rebecca enjoys playing board games and performing with her Chinese Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe. On quiet days, though, she particularly loves reading – most likely found with a new story every week.
Owned Pets
Jellybean the budgie is Rebecca’s much-loved companion who can’t be separated from his little silver bell.
