Meet Practice Manager, Madeline
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and BMarBiol
Madeline began her animal studies at the University of Technology, Sydney, where she attained a Bachelor’s in Marine Biology. She furthered her practical skills by achieving her Certificate II in Animal Studies with the Taronga Training Institute.
Madeline spent six years working at SEALIFE Sydney Aquarium, where she was lucky enough to care for dugongs, sharks, rays, turtles, echinoderms and penguins.
Madeline then decided to gain her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, and she began work with the Bird and Exotics Vet in Sydney, honing her skills before becoming their Vet Nurse Manager.
Madeline is pleased to have joined the Unusual Pet Vet Sydney team as the clinic’s Practice Manager and looks forward to continuing to learn as much as possible.
Hobbies and Interest
Outside of work, you will usually catch Madeline at the gaming arcade with her husband, playing mahjong and board games with friends, or scuba diving and snorkelling to find as many nudibranchs as she can.
Owned Pets
Growing up, Madeline had pet sheep, goats, frogs, fish, crabs, turtles, and cats, but these days, you will find her surrounded by her rescued rats. She hopes that through her rats, more people will understand just how intelligent, loveable, and fascinating rats truly are.
