Veterinary Nurse, Kirsty (She/Her)

Kirsty is a passionate degree-level UK RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who has undertaken a three-year university degree alongside working as a student veterinary nurse at a small animal and farm animal practice, graduating in 2015.
Since then, Kirsty has achieved additional qualifications: City & Guild Certificate in Veterinary Nursing of Exotic Species and the Advanced programme in Veterinary Nursing of Zoo Animals in exotics, zoo, and wildlife veterinary nursing. Both have broadened her knowledge and allowed her to care appropriately for exotic and zoo animals.
To complement the above endeavoured to seek out qualifications in aquatic Veterinary Nursing, Kirsty approached the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association and helped them to develop a certification in Aquatic Veterinary Nursing, for which she has been awarded Cert AqVNT in early 2023, therefore becoming certified and a mentor for future candidates. Kirsty currently works as a Veterinary Nurse at Sealife & Wildlife Sydney Zoo, and her passions are anaesthesia and in-patient care.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of Kirsty’s busy work schedule, she enjoys travel, fitness, cooking, self-care, swimming, snorkelling, diving, and spending time in nature.

Kirsty is a proud pet parent to three feline fiends, Loki, Pepper and Lola that are still residing the UK.
